The industry-academia collaboration plays an important
role in the technological growth of a country. It ensures
that the institutions of learning are not churning out
bookish and stereotype graduates, overburdened by
theoretical knowledge with little or no relevance to
market demand for human resource. This indeed had
been the case during most of our past history. The
situation has however, been changing, notably during
the last decade. There is a greater realization that
meaningful industry-academia collaboration is
imperative for a nation to prosper in this highly
competitive, knowledge-driven age and Rohde &
Schwarz is proud to be a significant component in this
equation. We are keeping a very close liaison with the
institutions of higher learning in Pakistan and, among
other initiatives, routinely conduct seminars to expose
the young scholars to the emerging technologies and
their evolution in foreseeable future. A well-informed
and tech savvy breed of young engineers is crucial to
ensuring the transfer of knowledge and technology and
Rohde & Schwarz is playing its role in grooming the
budding scientists and engineers.
